Honey Nut Smile Fries

This is one of my young granddaughter's favorite foods!
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Course: Side Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 3 whole Honeynut or Butternut Squashes
  • 1-2 tsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Cookie Sheet

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Cut squashes in half, scoop out seeds (Save to roast if desired, they make a great snack)
  3. Slice squash into ½ inch thick slices.
  4. Put squash in largebowl and add oil, salt, and pepper. Toss together.
  5. Place squash on cookie sheet, bake for 15 minutes untilgolden brown, flip and cook for another 15 minutes

Notes

Serve with a lean protein and green vegetable such as broccoli for a satisfying, healthy meal!
