Honey Nut Smile Fries

This is one of my young granddaughter's favorite foods!
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes

Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Cookie Sheet

Ingredients
  

  • 3 whole Honeynut or Butternut Squashes
  • 1-2 tsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  • Cut squashes in half, scoop out seeds (Save to roast if desired, they make a great snack)
  • Slice squash into ½ inch thick slices.
  • Put squash in largebowl and add oil, salt, and pepper. Toss together.
  • Place squash on cookie sheet, bake for 15 minutes untilgolden brown, flip and cook for another 15 minutes

Notes

Serve with a lean protein and green vegetable such as broccoli for a satisfying, healthy meal!
