"I am refreshed."
Basil is rich in antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties. The nuts are a healthy source of fat and rich source of omega 3 fatty acids.
Makes about 1/2 cup.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Course: Main Course, Main Dish, Side Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups large of basil leaves or plant of choice
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt or more to taste
  • water to desired consistency

Equipment

  • Food Processor
  • measuring cup
  • measuring spoons
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Blend garlic om food processor
  2. Add walnuts and blend for 5 seconds
  3. Add olive oil, basil and blend unti; s fine extured (but too pureed)
  4. Add salt to taste

Notes

Serving ideas:
  • Use over roasted vegetables
  • Zucchini Noodles
  • Pasta
  • Potatoes
  • Use leftovers to create a pasta salad by adding vinegar.. I like to use brown rice vinegar.
