Basil is rich in antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties. The nuts are a healthy source of fat and rich source of omega 3 fatty acids.
Makes about 1/2 cup.

Equipment

  • Food Processor
  • measuring cup
  • measuring spoons
  • Spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups large of basil leaves or plant of choice
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt or more to taste
  • water to desired consistency

Instructions
 

  • Blend garlic om food processor
  • Add walnuts and blend for 5 seconds
  • Add olive oil, basil and blend unti; s fine extured (but too pureed)
  • Add salt to taste

Serving ideas:
  • Use over roasted vegetables
  • Zucchini Noodles
  • Pasta
  • Potatoes
  • Use leftovers to create a pasta salad by adding vinegar.. I like to use brown rice vinegar.
